NHCO's annual Citrus Sale is underway! Order and pay online or use our order form and drop it off at our Allison Park office at 1975 Ferguson Road. Deadline to order is Feb. 8! Order pickup is March 3 and 4. Prices range from $20 to $28 for boxes of fresh and delicious tangerines, grapefruits, pears and temple oranges. Ordering a box or two of fruit is one of the easiest ways to forward NHCO's mission of helping our neighbors in crisis, hardship and poverty. Donations of organic, seed packets are being collected for our Rosalinda Sauro Sirianni Garden in Bellevue. Fruit, vegetable, greens, herb and flower seeds as well as monetary donations are welcome. All produce grown at our garden supports North Hills Community Outreach's two food pantries. Last year, our pantries fed 1,395 families in need. Please print our flier and post it for all to see. Donations can be dropped off at any NHCO office.

Act One Theater School presents "This Land is Your Land" fundraising event on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and a portion of the proceeds benefit NHCO. The event features luscious desserts and homemade Hors d'oeuvres by WQED's Chris Fennimore, silent auction of gifts and services including a yearlong ACT ONE tuition, musical review by ACT ONE Professional Training Program students showcasing the importance of growing food and providing sustenance for those in need and a special number by eighth-grade students. Turo Family Chiropractic is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 16 from 3 to 7 p.m. at their new location at 624 Lowries Run Road and the community is invited to attend. Each new patient appointment scheduled during the event or via phone on Feb. 16 will result in a $25 donation to NHCO - half of each new patient fee. The event also will include office tours, information about state of the art spinal correct technology and refreshments. Call 412-369-0400 to RSVP by Feb. 10 or schedule an appointment.

Be part of the 2012 Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on May 19 at Stage AE on the North Shore and support NHCO! You can help by forming a team to walk a 5K or the 1 Mile Fun Walk, becoming a virtual walker or donating to a team or a virtual walker. NHCO is one of 70 southwestern Pennsylvania organizations participating in this year's event. Since the walk’s inception in 2003, $4.5 million dollars have been raised for over 180 participating organizations across Pennsylvania.
