Needs Assessment Survey to Congregations

17 local clergy leaders responded to our needs assessment survey that we mailed to 150 congregations in May 2005. A big thanks to them for responding during a very busy time of the year!

  • The respondents felt that the top critical needs in our community are:
      1. Resources for drug/alcohol abuse and prevention
      2. Utility assistance
      3. Flood recovery
      4. Housing rental and repair
      5. Companionship for elderly
      6. Transportation
  • The majority of respondents felt that community resources available to address critical needs are "adequate" or "somewhat adequate."
  • When asked of their awareness of North Hills Community Outreach, eleven respondents were "very" or "somewhat" aware of NHCO's services. Everyone else could name a couple services or at the very least had heard of NHCO.

NHCO followed up with several clergy who cited specific community concerns. We told them more about our services and directed them to other organizations that might be able to help.
