New NHCO Position to Enhance Connection to the Community

Please welcome Amethy Weikel-Sandstrom, NHCO's Community Engagement Coordinator.  Her primary responsibility is to strengthen NHCO’s visibility, partnerships, and volunteer network by cultivating relationships with community organizations, businesses, congregations, civic groups and local stakeholders.

“This position appealed to me because I am deeply rooted in my community and am a natural connector,” Amethy said. “I thrive when I can connect a person to a resource, or a problem with a solution.”

Amethy will work to recruit and support volunteers to help with various programs, services and administrative needs - a vital component in NHCO's daily operations. She will also coordinate volunteers for our Neighborhood Ambassador program and Older Adults Individual Rides and Friendly Visiting programs.

“I am excited to use my strengths to deepen NHCO's connection with volunteers, set those volunteers up for success, and create a robust roster of ambassadors for the organization,” Amethy added.
