Top Five Needs at NHCO

Would your Congregation Like to Learn More About NHCO?

NHCO's Executive Director, and ordained United Methodist pastor, Rev. Dr. Scott Shaffer is available to preach at your church service or speak at an event to share information about the important work that NHCO is doing in our community. This is a great way to introduce your congregation to the many ways they can be a sharing community for their neighbors!

Interested? Please contact Scott at 412-487-6216 or sshaffer@NHCO.org.

Help Your Neighbors Stay Warm

We’re collecting and distributing new coats to children ages infant to 18-years-old. New hats, scarves and gloves are also being accepted. Gift cards to purchase coats are also greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at any of our three offices, or you can order from our Amazon Wish list and have the coats shipped directly to us.

Your Unwanted Car Can Help Others

Donate Your Car or Vehicle and help hundreds of families a year through NHCO’s Transportation Financial Assistance Program! Your donation will help people in your community meet and overcome transportation challenges, and help them with access to jobs, critical appointments, child care and more.

The process is simple!

  1. Donate your car – Pickup or towing is free

  2. We sell it at auction

  3. 100% of the money from the sale of vehicle (after fees) helps people with transportation needs. Learn more.
