Top Five Needs at NHCO

As the year comes to a close, we are reflecting on all that you have helped us achieve. In the face of a chaotic world, growing challenges affecting our mission, and the ongoing needs in our community, your generosity has been a constant source of hope for your neighbors.

With your support, 4,290 individuals and families received compassionate, life-stabilizing services when they needed them most this past year.

Before the year ends, you still have the opportunity to support those facing a crisis, hardship, or poverty through a gift to NHCO.

Help our Neighbors Stay Warm and Keep the Lights On.

On average, one in five households are forced to forgo, or have to reduce food, medicine and other necessities to pay an energy bill. During the winter months, NHCO provides assistance in paying these bills to more than 500 vulnerable seniors, disabled adults and families.

Got Time to Give? Take a Ride That Matters

North Hills Community Outreach’s Free Rides for Seniors (FRFS) Shuttle is more than transportation along the Route 28 corridor, it’s a lifeline that helps older adults stay independent, connected, and engaged. With meaningful connections for both riders and volunteers, FRFS eases loneliness and proves that life is better when you have friends and a way to get out and see them.
